  1. Lenovo ideapad110 15.6-inch Laptop (6th Gen i3-6006U/4GB/1TB/DOS/Integrated Graphics) – Rs. 24,000

 Lenovo IdeadPad 110

Starting at the lower range we have a quite a piece by Lenovo here.  The Ideapad 110 contains one of Intel’s’ most famous processors designed for laptops. The 6th Gen i3-6006U is a dual-core processor that comes with a clock speed of 2.0 GHz. A stick of 4GB RAM has been coupled along with it that compliments the processor well. In the storage area, the Ideapad has a 1TB HDD installed which comes completely empty as the system ships with DOS which essentially means that you will have to install your own edition of Windows. Apparently Lenovo has pulled off this move in hopes that customers get more customization options as they are free to install their own choice of OS which can be Windows or Linux.

The 15.6 inch HD display has excellent colour reproduction and efficiently runs videos. Although, keep in mind the laptop doesn’t come with Dedicated graphics which means gaming on the Ideapad is an idea you’re gonna have to let go of since it doesn’t pack enough juice for 3D applications but considering the price it is going for, it is completely understandable. Users who are looking for laptops for day to day use and don’t have anything higher in mind may go for it.

P.S – The Idepad 110 is heavily discounted right now but it won’t stay that way. If we were you we would be quick about it!

 Dell Inspiron AMD

Lenovo isn’t the only company trying its hand in the market. Dell has also come up with its own model. The Inspiron immediately one-ups the Idepad as it comes with some pretty slick features while taking just a little more money. Dell didn’t stick around with Intel here and went to AMD instead which is a strategic move as AMD has a better Performance to Price ratio. The Inspiron APU comes with AMD APU Dual Core A9 7th Gen processor which happens to be a pretty good unit.

One more area where the extra money went is the inclusion of an additional 2GB of RAM which will surely help make processing faster. The storage and display, however, remain the same with 15.6 inch HD and 1TB being given. Another additional thing Dell has provided here is that the Inspiron comes pre-installed with a genuine copy of Windows 10 64 bit operating system. This saves a lot of hassle for people who just want to start the laptop up and use it immediately.

The cherry on the top of the cake, however, is the free Ms Office Home & Student 2016 Edition that is being given. On the market, Ms Office has gotten expensive and getting it free surely saves a lot of trouble for people. Other standard features being included contain a DVD writer, Wi-Fi Card and an SD card reader and a webcam.

People who can invest a little more (Rs. 5,000 to be exact) should really try to buy this as Dell has definitely given a bang for your buck here.

 HP Core i3 5th Gen

Fans of HP can stop looking further as the HP 15 is here. Unlike Dell, HP decided to stick with Intel as they have for years. The 15 comes with an Intel 5th Gen  i3 processor which along with 4GB of RAM. The laptop has been designed for everyday users and hence the specifications are not very impressive. The storage department also remains the same with 1TB being offered as disk space along with pre-installed Windows 10. The HD LED backlit display scales 15.6 inches in size and comes bundled with DTS Studio Sound software that makes a fine screen and speaker combo.

One area where HP displayed its uniqueness is the webcam. The webcam while not being very high in pixels comes with HP True Vision which is a special firmware designed for all HP laptops. True Vision dramatically increases the quality of the pictures and videos taken by a huge scale and also improves detailing. Even though the HP 15 does not pack exemplary features, it is worth a notice especially by office goers and students and an added bonus special discounts are being offered by Flipkart on this particular model. 1. Acer Aspire APU Quad Core A10 5th Gen – (4 GB/1 TB HDD/Windows 10/2 GB Graphics) E5-553G Notebook (15.6 inch, Black) – Rs. 31,000

 Acer Aspire

Behold the laptop meant for amateur gamers and entertainers, the Acer Aspire provides a fruitful combination of both in an affordable price range. The Aspire also dealt up with AMD and contains an AMD Quad Core A10 5th Gen processor with a fairly nice clock speed (2.0 GHz). The RAM area sees a stick of 4GB attached whereas in storage you will find a hard drive of 1TB.

The one unique thing we really love about Acer here is their inclusion of Dedicated Graphics. As mentioned before, gaming on just Integrated Graphics is a nightmare as nothing runs on so little V- Memory. However, the Aspire contains AMD’s. Radeon R7 M440 which comes with 2GB of VRAM. For those who don’t know much about gaming just know that in order to game efficiently you must have dedicated graphics along with some decent Virtual RAM which in this case is plenty to run games. The 15.6 inch HD display has also been tweaked by special software by AMD that gives it a unique profiling when it comes to performance. This laptop is truly what we can say the entry to gaming and entertainment.

  1. HP 15-AY513TX 15.6-inch Laptop (6th Gen Core i3-6006U/8GB/1TB/DOS/2GB Graphics), Turbo Silver – Rs. 34,500

Acer isn’t the only one looking to get in the entertainment market though. HP also invested more money and came out with the HP AY51. This new model by HP comes with a 6th Gen Intel i3-6006U processor which comes clocked at 2.00 Ghz. The dual core processor along with massive 8GB of RAM truly gives the laptop the firepower it needs. This is one thing HP did that Acer didn’t. For a gaming laptop, it is essential that the model contains RAM which is high in quantity. This HP model unlike the previous one comes with dedicated graphics. For this, HP tied up with AMD and got AMD’s Radeon R5 M430 2GB Graphics installed which falls in well along with the rest of the specs. The storage remains the standard with 1TB being provided with the option for more if the user so desires. The HP AY comes very near to our budget but that is because of the inclusion of the dedicated graphics and the extra gigs of RAM you will find in the laptop. All told, in this price range, we would definitely recommend it.
