Motorola came up with the iconic Batwing logo on June 19, 1955 and it was designed by Morton Goldsholl Design Associates in Chicago. Further, it was revealed by a Motorola showroom in Chicago’s Merchandise Mart during a Home Furnishings show. The two aspiring triangles peak arching into an abstracted “M” form the basis of the iconic mark.
The 60th anniversary of the Motorola is being celebrated in India by running a #MyMotoLogo contest across all the social media channels. Those interested can simply visit the new microsite here and share their logo creation using the hashtag #MyMotoLogo. A participant needs to create a doodle of his or her own Moto logo and a panel of four art influencers will help the participants create the final version of the iconic Batwing logo. Creativity and innovation are the parameters for evaluating the submitted logos. Wondering what the winners would get? Six lucky winners will get a chance to win a Moto X each with their very own customized #mymotologo on it. Isn’t that pretty cool?
Go for it and submit your creations soon. We wish you best!
