This one is for all the fitness freaks out there. We know how much you value your health and clocking those miles requires gear that runs along with you. Fitness bands are slowly becoming an indispensable part of life due to the fact they have become very affordable. Here we bring you a list of 5 fitness bands under Rs. 10,000.
Mi Band Smart Wristband for Android, iPhone and Other Smartphones – Rs. 599
For a budget that goes all the way to 10,000, a fitness band with such a low price might look like a weak player but the Mi Band broke a lot of stereotypes when it came out by its excellent performance and outstanding durability.
The Mi Band after reaching critical acclaim in China was launched in India with only one goal; reaching popularity among the masses through its affordable yet elegant technology. The Band comes with a host of features that include a Pedometer, sleep tracker, calorie counter, and remote wireless technology. The Band uses Bluetooth to connect to your phone and all the information its military grade sensor collects is sent to the phone through an app that is available for free at the Play Store called Mi Fit.
This information comes very handy for people who are trying to lose weight and even for those who enjoy working out in general. The Sleep tracker records your sleep schedule and displays it in an easy manner in the application. The Pedometer is an efficient step counter that records your every move and is not confused easily. At the end of the day, all the progress can be seen and stored in the app.
Mi Band can also unlock your phone and informs you about any notifications you may receive through its vibration sensors. Since the band has no screen, the sensors act as the primary guide. All these features are powered by a 41 mAh Lithium-Polymer battery. This might seem too little to handle that much but the Mi Band easily runs for solid 10-15 days before it needs a recharge
The Band retails for Rs. 1000 on the official Mi Site but it is going for 599 as the sale season is on. Anyone new who wants an affordable yet performing Fitness Band may go for the Mi Band.

Mi Band 2 – Rs. 1,999
After the immense success of Mi Band in India, Mi took a long hard look at things and they decided to revamp the entire design and functionality and so the Mi Band 2 was made. The Mi Band 2 is essentially an older brother of the previous fitness band and is better in many ways, it even works for those people who have to use an ankle brace when working out.
For starters, a 0.42-inch OLED display has been added that works along with the vibration sensors to give real-time feedback to the user. The screen coordinates with all the hardware like the step tracker, sleep analyzer and displays all that information right on it without delay. The display has been made with polished glass and special care has been taken to ensure it is sealed correctly as the whole band is splash proof and water resistant.
One major change that has happened in the Mi Band 2 is the inclusion of a heart rate sensor that will monitor your heartbeat and give you updates in real time. Running just got a whole lot more interesting as calculating your heartbeat can be done without buying an expensive band. Apart from the new features and the completely changed design, the old technology has been retained as it is tried and tested.
The battery, however, has almost been doubled. The battery now holds a charge capacity of 70 mAh and now the band easily lasts for 15-25 days. Despite the sensor being made out of Aluminum alloy and the new design being a little overwhelming the Mi Band 2 weights just around 7 grams which are quite light considering all that has been packed in it.
For people who want to stay away from these new features might as well go for the Mi Band 1 but for someone who plays around with tech a lot, the Band 2 is surely something to check out.

Moov Now 3D Fitness Tracker and Real Time Audio Coach – Rs. 4,299
Now, this is one interesting Fitness Band. Moov 3D is a recent company but it has been making waves as of late. The Moov 3D Fitness tracker is completely different from your standard band as it is not just a band but also a fitness coach. Allow me to elaborate on that. The Moov 3D band comes with an inbuilt voice sensor that communicates with you during your workout and motivates you when necessary. The coach can also advise you on a diet you will try with instahard, types of exercises and various types of reminders related to your gym life. The coach also monitors your daily activities and adapts itself according to them.
Furthermore, the Moov 3D comes armed with something Moov calls Omni Motion Sensor that supposedly uses 3 times the sensors used in other fitness trackers that help it track your motion in 3D and get the most accurate reading. For this reason, the tracker can be attached to not just your arms but also your legs if you want a more central reading. This is particularly useful when one is into different sports such as swimming or running track.
There are two notable exceptions that should be taken into account before buying this though. The band comes with a battery that lasts 6 months and must be replaced and there is no step tracker in the Moov 3D. The latter exception might be a deal breaker for some people but if you stick through you get the advantage of having a personal coach by your side.

Garmin Vivofit 2 Activity Tracker – Rs. 5,500
Garmin is a company that goes back all the way to 1989 and has continued to release quality products with an ingenious design. For users who want fantastic build quality and are looking to place their faith in a company, the Vivofit tracker is a smart choice.
The Vivofit 2 comes with all the features you would expect from a fitness band and more. The Vivofit comes with a 1 inch LCD display that comes built in with a special system that reminds you to get up and move every hour by sounding an alert and flashing on the screen. The display serves as the primary point from which one can see their stats. The one special thing about the screen is that it is always on so you can see your current stats whenever and wherever.
The band also comes with an activity tracker that is equipped with Auto-Sync that automatically sends information to the user’s mobile device every few hours so that they are updated 24/7. The battery on Vivofit is of the same nature as Moov as it is also one that is replaced but with comes with a bigger life. The Vivofit’s battery lasts for 1 Year and then can be easily replaced.
Other features are synonymous with previous bands as standard features like Sleep tracking, calorie counting, and water resistance is present. The heartbeat sensor, however, is not present but can a separate one can be attached as the Vivofit has functionality for that. For customers who are not comfortable with buying from brands are untested should go for Garmin but to put it out there, companies like Mi or Moov are also trustable.

Fitbit Charge 2 Wireless Activity Tracker and Sleep Wristband – Rs 10,499
This one goes just a little overboard on the budget but it’s worth that all the same. The name Fitbit has been all over advertisements these days. The Fitbit Charge Charge 2 or charge 3 are one of the most popular products of the company. Fitbit focuses on features and functionality and ensures that their bands are well loaded with tech before releasing them out there which is one of the reasons this one tops the budget scale.
The Fitbit Charge 2 is all about the user and adapting to their style. For this Fitbit has a heart rate monitor called The Pulse Continuous which actively measures the heart rate of the user all day for accurate measurement of calories and their burn. This pulse can be adjusted for weight loss, muscle mass and even a stable lifestyle. The sensor also provides personalized breathing sessions at the end of the day depending on your heartbeat.
The Charge 2 includes GPS that can track user’s position in real time and display stats like running speed, location etc. This is a boon for runners as bands frequently rely on the phone’s Bluetooth for the location which fails a lot. Other features include Auto sleep tracking, calorie counting, and notification sensors. A new feature called Smart Track automatically detects when the user is exercising and starts recording the activity. The battery life on Charge 2 is ironically not very good. The battery lasts around 5 days and can be recharged using standard USB or wall outlet. Considering all the things the little battery has to power including the large OLED screen, it is understandable that it may have a low battery life.
