With numerous brands entering the Indian smartphone market, the competition has become just too tough. Oppo has made a huge impact with their flagship smartphone Oppo Find 7 which undoubtedly offers best specifications out there. The company has made a huge impact in the global smartphone market and it entered the Indian market with N1. Oppo Find 7 looks an amazing device from the outset, lets see if it is capable enough to attract the masses.
Look and Feel
Oppo Find 7 boasts a premium look and build quality. It has a titanium-aluminium alloy frame and also manages heat dissipation in an excellent manner. It is 9.2mm thick and is on the heavier side weighing 173g. The front panel of the device consists on the earpiece on the top along with the front camera and a sensor. At the bottom of the 5.5 screen are the scree capacitive touch buttons. What looks beautiful is the blue notification light at the bottom of the front panel.
The power button and the volume rocker are on the left and right sides of the device respectively which provides easier accessibility. The feedback provided by these buttons is indeed appreciable. Inspite of the large display, the device does not feel bulky and is comfortable to use. Talking about the back, the panel is removable beneath which rest the powerful 3000mAh battery, SIM card and microSD card slots. The back panel has a slight bulge and the fact that its textured provides a firm grip.
The rear camera is at the top center with the dual-LED flash under it and then comes the Oppo branding, The speaker is at the bottom center on the back. However, the intelligent design lets you place the phone on its back while listening to music. This is because the speaker is at end of the bulge which does not block the sound when on its back. The charging lot is at the bottom and the 3.5mm jack at the top.

Oppo Find 7 finds itself as the first one in the Indian smartphone market featuring Quad HD 2K display. The 5.5-inch screen comes with an impressive resolution of 1440×2560 pixels with a pixel density of 538ppi. The protect comes courtesy of Gorilla Glass 3 and the display easily beats the existing smartphones in the market. The text and graphics clarity is indeed impressive. The viewing angles are excellent and visibility under sunlight fetched me no issues.
Camera- Rear and Front
Oppo Find 7 houses a 13MP rear camera which comes with the Sony IMX214 CMOS sensor. It is capable of recording 4K videos and clicking RAW files. The Super Zoom feature allows you to merge 10 photos to result to a single 50MP image. You still want more? This amazing camera in Oppo Find 7 is also capable of recording slow-motion videos of 720p at 120fps.
The rear camera gives excellent clarity to the pictures clicked under daylight with less noise, high level of detail and good contrast. The color reproduction is close to perfect. The dual-LED flash coupled with the 13M snapper gives decent details in low-light and that too with fool zoom.
The 5 MP front camera is one of the best I have come across lately. The details come out well. Turning out the Beauty mode adds to it. Although, the normal mode is what I liked for the selfies.
Powered by a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, Oppo Find 7 really comes out with a pretty good performance. The presence of 3GB RAM coupled with 32GB internal memory makes acts like a cherry on the cake. Having a large internal memory improves the performance in terms of request and response timings. With almost everything in the internal memory, the response time is less and thus, working gets faster. There were hardly any lags while opening and switching among multiple apps, thanks to the 3GB RAM.
Playing heavy graphics games is what you can do at ease on Oppo Find 7. The speaker gives a good and loud output with almost-no distortion even at full volumes. The in-ear headset comes with MaxxAudio technology from Waves and has an excellent clarity along with good bass and treble.
Oppo Find 7 comes with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box and is heavily customized to provide a lot of features like themes, lock screen widget, app launcher and gestures. The Color OS by Oppo is much better than what we have seen from other brands and produces a nearly-stock Android experience. Gestures like three finger swipe for screenshots and double tap to wake are some very useful gestures. Also, there is a separate gestures panel where you can make customized drawings and set the action accordingly. As an example, I drew G and set the action to open gadgetadda.com.
The powerful 3000mAh battery and has the fast-charging technology where we were able to charge the device from 10-100% in roughly 70 minutes. The battery lasted easily for an entire day even with heavy usage involving calls, WhatsApp, YouTube, email, music and some gaming. I just love playing Homerun Battle 2. Talking about connectivity, Oppo Find 7 supports LTE 4G. It also has NFC capability for high-speed data transfers.
