The Launch of the Budget Smartphone Moto G has resulted in a lot of Chaos in the Mobile Market and many companies that are well established like Samsung, Asus are Launching New Smart Phones to match the Specifications and Price Tag offered by the Moto G. HTC is not different and has also launched the Dual SIM variant of its Desire 516 this June, in order to Compete with the Moto G and regain its lost position in the market.
The HTC Desire 516 Dual SIM is an Android SmartPhone which is based on the Android 4.2.2 (Jellybean) and offers a HTC BlinkFeed Interface. The Phone is Java and Flash Supported.
HTC Desire 516 Dual SIM has a 5 inch display with a Resolution of 540×960 pixels, 16M Colors and a PPI of 220 (Pixels Per Inch).
HTC Desire 516 Dual SIM is powered by a Snapdragon Qualcomm 1.2 GHz Quad-Core Processor, and an Adreno 302 GPU. The SmartPhone Comes with a 1 GB RAM and an Internal Storage of 4GB which is Less But the phone comes with an external card slot and hence the storage Capacity can be extended with a maximum capacity of 32 GB.
The Phone offers a Rear Camera of 5MP with Fixed Focus and a Flash to allow taking pictures in the dark. The Rear Camera is Accompanies by a Front Camera of 2MP. Both the Cameras viz Rear and Front allow Video Recording too, the former offers a 720p Full HD video recording, whereas the Later offers a VGA video recording.
[ads]This Smartphone offers all the basic Connectivity options that almost all smartphone offers like Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS etc. but Lacks on a lot of Connectivity Features that are offered by the other smartphones in the same price range. The Connectivity Features that are missing include NFC and Wi-Fi Direct which are a must for High Speed transfers between The Smartphones. But this is not a big issue as there are Many Android Applications (Fast File Transfer (FFT), SuperBeam etc.) available in Android Play-store that lets you send data from one Phone to another with a high speed using the Hotspot of your Phone.
The Desire 516 has a 1950 mAh Removable battery which offers up to 9 Hours of 3G Talk time and 220 Hours of 3G Standby time.
The smartphone comes at a price of approximately 14,000.
The phone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor along with Adreno 305 GPU but the 1GB of RAM though falls short as compared to other phones in the price range. The phone handles all your regular apps quite smoothly but shows a bit of lag when using some Big apps in Background.
The Desire 516 comes with the outdated Android 4.2 (Jellybean).The up-down app drawer allows the user to handle the 5 inch device easily with one hand.
The 5 MP Rear Camera is a decent Camera which takes some Sharp pictures under the right lighting conditions and Environment. The 2 MP front camera is also one of the best in its class.
