It is not unusual if you find people playing Angry Birds, Candy Crush or Temple run in a jam packed Metro. But the future of portable gaming “The NVIDIA Shield” is much more than just a handheld console. After the success of NVIDIA Shield, the company is set to launch its tablet by the name of NVIDIA Shield Tablet. The device is touted to be released during the end of this month in US and Canada but other parts of World will have to wait for some more time.
[ads]Considering the rumours, the device has an 8inches 1920 x 1200 IPS LCD display. In addition to this, a 2.2 GHz Quad Core Tegra K1 processor with 192-core Kepler GPU will boast the power of this amazing device. A 2GB of RAM with an inbuilt storage of 16GB and 32GB are going to be made available. The 32GB model will available for Wi-Fi + LTE and the 16GB model will be available for Wi-Fi only. The Shield Tablet is set to have a front facing stereo speaker and two cameras at the front for Twitch streaming. The device is 4K-ultra ready.
If the reports are to be believed the 32GB model is going to be available for 399$ while the 16GB model is going to be launched for 299$. If that’s not all, the Tablet supports the shield controller, that looks much like the X-Box controller will cost you 59$ extra.
