Jolla Smartphone will not run on the Android OS which you get to use on the majority of smartphones these days. Going different, Jolla Smartphone will run on Sailfish OS which also has been developed by the former Nokia employees. They also worked on MeeGo operating system which was in collaboration with Intel. The word is that Jolla would sell smartphones only via Snapdeal starting from next month.
Jolla in February announced that they would be expanding their smartphone availability to India, Hong Kong and Russia this year. The smartphone is currently available in company’s official stores in Europe for EUR 399 which approximates to Rs. 34,000.
