Video conferencing between two people speaking in different languages is now possible

Skype Translator will soon be able to facilitate video conferencing between two people speaking in different languages. It will make it possible through its innovative technology. Skype further hopes that this technology will change the nature of communication all across the world.

The news was shared by the Indian origin Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella at the Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference 2014. A live preview of the technology between two persons speaking in German and English through Skype was also carried out at the conference. According to Nadella, it is a path breaking technology which is all set to transform human communication. He also added that the technology will increase productivity by breaking the language barriers for people across the world.

[ads] This technology could be a great help for a country like ours where there are more than two dozen official languages and in addition to that people speak several hundred local languages. Nadella also announced at the conference that such technologies are a part of Microsoft’s plan to “empower everyone to do more and achieve more”. He also added that his company is the productivity and platform company for the mobile-first and cloud first world.

Microsoft wants to reinvent productivity so as to empower every organization and every person across the globe to do more and achieve more. According to many experts, this technology by Microsoft could prove to be a big game changer.
