In a race to provide their users personal assistance on the phone, Blackberry joins the race with Apple, Google, and Microsoft and releases Blackberry’s Assistant . The Canadian company confirmed about the presence of the assistant in an official blog and also mentioned about its debut in Blackberry Passport and will be a part of Blackberry 10.3 OS. The Blog also shows the interface of the Blackberry Assistant, which has a microphone in the centre which use can press and give voice commands.
Blackberry also mentions that the assistant would become more smart day by day as the users will interact with it in a learning process. There is now word about when this is going to be released. This is year in June, during the company’s annual meeting Blackberry’s CEO Joen Chen, confirmed that the square shaped Blackberry “Windermere” known as Blackberry Passport will be launched in September and also expressed the motivation behind the square shaped phone. They mentioned that Blackberry Passport will offer the best aspect ratio and size to accommodate characters, thereby making it an ideal device for the e-books, browsing web and viewing documents.
