The Indian smartphone and tablet maker Lava has added another feather to its Ivory series with the release of IvoryS at a price tag of Rs. 8,499. The tablet is aimed at the working professionals looking for a low-priced yet stylish looking tablet. Let us go through the features one by one:

1. Look and Feel

With a 7-inch screen, the tablet stands out in this price range. It is handy and good for work in the field. You can hold it in your palm and work conveniently. The body looks durable and feels nice to carry it along.

2. Display

A resolution of 1024×600 pixels combined with a 7-inch screen and a pixel density of 170ppi, Lava IvoryS provides a rather low resolution to images. The images do not produce the kind of sharpness you look for, in turn turning out to seen dull.

3. Processor

Keeping the price in mind, the tablet houses a dual-core MediaTek MT8312 processor having a clock frequency of 1.3GHz accompanied by a Mali 400 GPU. The device is useful for standard working which involves low to medium multimedia usage. The shipped OS is Android 4.2. The AnTuTu score for the device stands low at 12363.

4. Camera

Lava IvoryS comes with a 3.2 megapixel rear shooter and a VGA in the front for video calling. The rear camera also has a LED flash to go with it. This is actually a disappointment as you expect a better front camera when the company is giving it for the video calling purpose.

With a 2800mAh battery, the tablet provides 8 hours of talktime and 200 hours of standby. Also, the device supports dual-SIM for calling purposes.
