Apple-Luxvue

Apple has confirmed to Techcrunch its acquisition of LuxVue Technology which is a company developing low power microLED based display technology used in consumer tech products.

LuxVue was previously known as Papierlos Corporation and was founded in 2009, it has always been quiet but came into picture a few times when it raised  $43 million in funding from Kleiner Perkins and others.  The main motive of apple in tho acquisition could be a bundle of patents that Luxvue has in low power LED technology. This news that Apple Acquires LuxVue Technology might make other technology giants like Samsung think about going in the same direction of low powered LED technology.

This technology would help Apple produce smartphones and tablets with better battery life compared to traditional display technology. You would be amazed to know that this is one of the 24 companies that Apple acquired over the last 18 months.
