[dropcap]L[/dropcap]ast year we saw the making of Internet.org which is a combined effort of some major web giants like Facebook with telecom giants such as Nokia, Qualcomm, in order to provide the two third of the world with Internet which they are deprived of.

In a post on Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg announced on 27th March a team that would work on a project named Facebook Connectivity whose focus is to develop and analyze technologies that can help to provide Internet to the rest of the world. Facebook’s Yael Maguire, has explained in a video (above) the potential technology which can be used to complete the task. He mentions of the drones and the low orbiting satellites, that can provide the solutions to provide the internet and are much efficient that the traditional models we have been using up till now.

Google initiated a similar project last year where they are trying to use the helium balloons to supply internet to the developing countries in a project name Loon.
